VenaSeal Offers a Quick and Extremely Minimally Invasive Solution for Varicose Veins
Dr. David Calcagno and Dr. John Rossi of Calcagno & Rossi Vein Treatment Center (CRVTC) are the first and only vascular surgeons in Central Pennsylvania to be certified in the recently approved VenaSeal Closure System.
This advanced new treatment is even less invasive than radiofrequency or laser ablation, which had recently become the standard in vein treatment options. Drs. Calcagno and Rossi have treated multiple patients to date using the VenaSeal system in Pennsylvania soon after the procedure was approved.
“Every once in a while in your medical career, technology comes out that totally changes the way we treat a disease,” explained Dr. Rossi during an appearance on Good Day PA!
While “glues” are commonly used in other medical procedures, the FDA only approved the VenaSeal “glue” last year as a treatment for varicose veins. VenaSeal is the first permanent varicose vein treatment that uses an adhesive to eliminate painful, bulging, unhealthy veins. This in-office procedure is 99% effective and requires no anesthesia.
“This procedure truly delivers remarkable results,” said Dr. Rossi. “Patients essentially just walk out the office with a band-aid.”
Calcagno & Rossi Vein Treatment Center is a locally owned physician practice that exclusively treats vein disorders. Dr. Calcagno and Dr. Rossi each have more than 30 years of vein care experience.
