Groundhog Day, 2014: 6 More Weeks of Varicose Veins

While we suffer through Winter 2014, AKA “The Polar Vortex”, you may have heard what happened 174 miles to the west of us last Sunday, February 2nd.

The local Groundhog Club of Punxsutawney, PA made its annual media blitz stating that Punxsutawney Phil, the Seer of Seers, Procrastinator of Procrastinators, had awakened from his winter nap at 7:28 am by his faithful followers. Next, Phil looked to the sky and gazed around his stump. Then he saw his shadow and predicted six more weeks of winter.

At Calcagno & Rossi Vein Treatment Center, this means that you’ll most likely also have six more weeks of varicose veins. Why? With more wintry weather predicted through one of the coldest seasons we’ve had in decades, you’ll probably be covering up and ignoring your bulging, swollen, painful and unsightly varicose veins with pants, long johns, and long skirts until late Spring.

But we believe that this is actually a great time to finally do something about your varicose veins by scheduling a free screening with Dr. David Calcagno or Dr. John Rossi, who have performed more varicose vein procedures than anyone in Central PA. The next free screenings are Tuesday, March 25th and Wednesday, March 26th, 12 Noon – 7:00 pm at Calcagno & Rossi Vein Treatment Center, 2025 Professional Center Parkway, Suite 304 in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Screening appointments fill up fast and we have limited availability, so call 717-791-2800 today to schedule your visit for this event… and get ready to start showing off your legs again soon.
