When you think about varicose veins, you usually think it’s a problem for older women. That’s not entirely true.
Dr. David Calcagno explains in this video interview on Allentown, PA station WFMZ on December 3rd that males comprise about 25% of his patients.
He said, “Today’s minimally invasive procedures like VNUS Closure or Radiofrequency Ablation are more appealing to men who don’t want to be away from work for a long time. Varicose veins are not just a cosmetic problem.”
Todd Cubbison, a former varicose vein patient for Calcagno & Rossi Vein Treatment Center in Mechanisburg, PA, said, “I’m very active. I didn’t have the common visual vein issue, but my legs felt very tired, very achy, and extra heavy. Through the course of that and me complaining about the pain, I was referred to this doctor and had it taken care of with this new procedure. It was quick. There was very little recovery from it. I was back on my feet in my time with no issues at all.”
